The aim of the game is to score as many points as you can. You score points in the same way teams do in real life i.e. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and nothing if they lose. You score the same amount of points that the team you pick does for any given gameweek. You can only pick each team twice throughout the season, once in a home fixture and once in an away fixture.

The winner is the person with the most points at the end of the season. If you are level on points with another person then the person with the higher goal difference wins. If you are level on both points and goal difference the the person with the higher goals scored wins. If you are level on points, goal difference and goals scored, then it's considered a tie.

Select the 'Play' icon to see the teams available for you to pick. Simply select the button of the team you wish to choose and confirm the selection. You can check the team you've selected by viewing the top of the 'Play' screen. The buttons for the teams unavailable for you to pick will have their buttons disabled.

Selections can be made until 1 hour prior to the first fixture in a gameweek. You can amend your selection as many times as you wish before this. Shortly after the selection closes, the subsequent gameweek will be open the next set of fixtures will appear in the 'Play' screen.

When a gameweek opens you will have already been given a default selection so even if you forget, the game will have already automatically selected a team for you. The default selection is always the first team you have available alphabetically with a priority given to their home match if they are playing more than once in a gameweek.

Other than only being able to select a team once in a home fixture and once in an away fixture there are no restrictions.

In the event that none of the teams you have available are playing in a gameweek, then no default selection will be made and you will be unable to pick a team for that gameweek. You will get the opportunity to make an extra selection in a future gameweek (from gameweek 21 onwards).

All fixtures are available to view and it is recommended to check the fixtures so that you pick teams at appropriate times. In the event that you haven’t picked a team and they are due to play their final fixture then you will automatically have them selected on their final fixture and the selection cannot be removed. This ensures all players will have selected all teams come the end of the season.

Anyone that has selected a team from a postponed fixture will be able to select the team again in a future gameweek. If it becomes apparent the fixture is postponed before the deadline for the current gameweek then they will be able to select another team instead. If the postponement occurs after the deadline or if the player fails to select another team then they will have an additional selection available in future gameweeks (from gameweek 21 onwards)

Selecting a user from any league table will display all of the selections they have already made and the teams they still have available. The selection for the current gameweek will display as soon as the deadline for selections is reached for the current gameweek.

To account for selecting 40 teams over the 38 gameweeks in a season, there will be occasions where you are able to select multiple teams in a single gameweek. Initially all players will have 2 additional selections available to use from gameweek 21 onwards. Between gameweek 1 and gameweek 20 you will only be able to select one team in a gameweek. From gameweek 21 onwards you will be able to select a maximum of two teams providing you have additional selections available. From gameweek 35 onwards you can select any additional selections you have available and are not restricted to selecting two teams.
